Hadad-Adel issues an appointment decree.

By order of Gholam-Ali Hadad-Adel, Qahraman Soleimani has been appointed as Secretary of the Saadi Foundation.
According to the foundation’s public relations office, Hadad-Adel, speaking at the introduction ceremony of the new secretary, referenced over 30 years of collaboration and friendship with Soleimani, describing him as a recognised figure in the field of Persian language promotion abroad. He stated that Soleimani’s academic background and executive record have, from the very beginning, been orientated toward cultural activities and the international development of the Persian language.
He added that Soleimani’s presence at the Saadi Foundation represents the transfer of diverse domestic and international experience directly relevant to the foundation’s work. Many current colleagues at the foundation had previously worked with him at the Organisation of Islamic Culture and Relations and are familiar with his capabilities and track record.
Hadad-Adel continued: “Beyond his managerial experience, he is a man of letters and a Persian language teacher. I have personally benefited from his articles and writings and have even shared some of my own work with him for critique. Therefore, in addition to fulfilling his legal and administrative responsibilities, he can contribute to colleagues, instructors, and faculty in substantive and content-related areas as well.”
The President of the Saadi Foundation further noted that, given the importance of the foundation’s educational and research activities, the presence of someone well-versed in Persian texts and literature can help elevate the quality of programmes and teaching materials; in this regard, Soleimani’s appointment provides added confidence.
He added: “I have very fond memories of working with him over the past three decades, and I am confident that, given his sound temperament and positive outlook, he will strengthen friendly relations and mutual trust among colleagues and will be able to offer effective guidance and cooperation both within the Foundation and in its international division.”
Soleimani, in turn, expressed gratitude for the remarks and said, “What Dr Hadad-Adel said about me reflects his generosity and encouragement toward his students more than it reflects reality. He is among those teachers who create the conditions for a genuine cultural life for those around them.”
Referring to the place of Persian in his professional and cultural life, he added: “Persian is, for me, a divine gift, the language of Iran’s culture, spirituality, and historical identity. I am grateful to God that my life and professional work have been bound to this language.”
He continued: “Persian is the shared heritage of all Iranians, and we have come together at the Saadi Foundation to present a worthy image of Iran to the world through this language, to meet international needs in this field, and to honour the responsibility we carry and the debt we owe to Iranian culture and the Persian language.”
Soleimani further stated: “The work the Saadi Foundation carries out is a national duty and must not be regarded merely as an organisational or departmental function. To draw on national capacities, we need to repair and strengthen our connections with certain external sectors so that we can channel those capacities toward the expansion of the Persian language.”
Qahraman Soleimani holds a PhD in Persian language and literature and has previously held numerous positions in cultural, educational, and international domains. His executive record includes Cultural Deputy at Soroush Publications; Director General of Research at the Presidential Office; Head of the Persian Research Center in Pakistan; Cultural Attaché of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Russia; Deputy for Research and Education at the Organization of Islamic Culture and Relations; Head of the Persian Research Center in India; Cultural Attaché in Tajikistan; Secretary of the Council for Persian Language Expansion at the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance; Deputy for Scientific and Cultural Cooperation Development at the Organization of Islamic Culture and Relations; and Head of the Persian Language and Literature Expansion Center at the same organisation.
